Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I continued through the first math section, the reading section, and most of the second math section. We discussed strategies for guessing in general, and we also talked about special right triangles, planar and spatial figures, area to volume ratios, and word problem translations."
"The student has a biology test coming up over the nervous system. We spent our session diagramming the neuron and making a graph of polarization depolarization. She was also assigned a rather comprehensive review. We did the review and after a couple tries she seemed to be comfortable with all the basic vocabulary and physiology."
"Student 1- Making change with coins under a dollar, spelling and forming sentences with first grade words. Student 2- Eleven tables as illustration of distributive property of multiplication. Lots of proofs of distributive property of multiplication (how multiplication is just a fast adding tool)."

"The start of the session the student and I worked on his phonics homework. The lesson objective was adding ing and ed to words and learning the rules that go along with it e.g. short vowel, one consonant double it. Next, we reiterated the skill on the whiteboard by practicing adding the endings to the words that we reviewed. Lastly, we worked on math word problems and determining the correct operation to use. He continues to receive B's or above on some class work that he brings home. He did a good job maintaining his attention in the later half of the session."
"The student and I reviewed arrays and conditionals for her upcoming test. She did well overall and just needed some minor clarifications on the exact syntax used to perform some common operations. I am confident that she will do well on her exam."
