Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We looked at the lesson right triangles in three dimensions. He did really well on this. I then previewed the final two lessons on an introduction to trigonometry. Considering the large amount of new information, he did well on this and should be well prepared for this week."
"We spent today's session preparing for a Geometry quiz. We went over a review sheet on translations. However, she was able to do the entire thing herself with just clarification on a few topics, so I think that she is well prepared for her quiz tomorrow."
"The student had a mid section test the next day. It covered four chapters we had previously worked on together. Two subjects we needed to review were the side splitter theorem and regular polygons, but upon a small amount of review she knew them well."
"We completed a review of basics for finding missing angles, and completed extra credit problem regarding this concept, but more complex."
"This time the student once again worked on his homework, which he had already put some time into and had been mostly successful on his own. This section was about the angle addition postulate. We worked on fixing some misconceptions, which were mainly due to a lack of similar examples. We strategized about drawing a picture for problems without one, because that makes it a lot easier. Like last week, once he had finished the original assignment we worked on some additional problems from the chapter, some similar and some requiring some extra work or brainpower. Overall this went really well and he made excellent progress on this material."
"We worked on polygons and finding the area and perimeter of polygons using the coordinates of the vertices. We also reviewed how to find the length and slopes between points and how to use that information to determine the shape of an object."
