Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we reviewed angles created by a transversal cutting through parallel lines (vertical angles, corresponding angles, etc.)."
"We covered lateral surface areas, probability, a homework set with a variation of problems, and some basic trigonometry."
"Reviewed a math exam, worked on subtracting numbers with and without regrouping. Also worked on two digit multiplication."
"We reviewed sections 13.3 through 14.7 to prepare for the exam next week. Most of our concentration was on the topics in chapter 13 as he is very comfortable with the material in 14. That being said, he is doing well and seems to understand the majority of the material that will be on his exam. He will continue to work on the review sheet I gave him, and we will meet again before his exam if needed."
"Today we focused on the student's Math exam tomorrow. The exam will cover 8.1-8.4 to include topics on area and circumference of a circle, area and perimeter of irregular shapes, and estimation of area. She reviewed solving and determining the area of the irregular shapes, specifically the triangular portion. We were able to get a few problems done with some extra problems I created. I advised her to slow down, and explained if she took time to look at each problem, rather than rushing, she would be able to figure them out."
"The student and I studied a bit of volumes (she has a quiz coming up on Monday). Then we basically started reviewing for the AP test. The student can solve all sorts of integrals, but forgot product rule. She remembered after a refresher. I think it was really helpful to go over some of that older content."
