Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student seems to be struggling with trigonometry. Went over half of the chapter material for her test Monday. Will meet again tomorrow to finish the rest of the chapter and prepare for her test."
"The student and I did not have too much to cover. She got over 100% on her last test on matrices, which was very good. This time we worked on series and sequences. She has a good hold on the material, so we just went through some sample problems. I think she'll do fine on her exam."
"The student and I studied for his achievement test. We worked through a practice test online. He far exceeds the knowledge tested on this achievement test, and had no trouble answering any of the questions. We then looked at some upcoming material."
"In today's session, we almost completely finished up Unit 1 for the student's government class. She should finish the review questions on her own and then complete the Unit 1 test. We will spend much of the next session reviewing for her Pre-Calc exam on Friday."
"We worked on a review sheet for an upcoming comprehensive exam and consequently covered a wide range of topics. Included in the review were how to find vertical and horizontal asymptotes of graphs, graph shifting, utilizing Descartes theorem to find the number of positive and negative real zeros of a polynomial, building polynomials with given zeros, and listing intervals where a graph is increasing or decreasing. For some of these topics, the student needed a refresher on some of the steps involved due to the amount of time it had been since she had worked on them, but she was able to work out the problems without much intervention after that."
"The student and I worked through one of her midterm review packets. She did a great job working through the material. She will be getting another review sheet this week that we will study on Thursday."
