Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This week, we continued our work on small talk in this session, and in particular, we practiced introductions and light conversation about people's origins and where they live, as well as inviting them to meet up again for later plans. The student's both mentioned Student A's particular interest in equipping herself to handle social interactions with new people with whom she might wish to pursue romantic possibilities with as few misunderstandings as possible, and since Student B already has a French speaking gentleman friend in Saint Martin, many of the questions and answers that we discussed took on applications specific to light flirtation and setting up dates. We also covered some terms of endearment that she can use with her boyfriend and that he might call her, noting which ones are gender-specific. Both students brought humor and a sense of adventure to what might otherwise have been a fairly practical lesson in first conversations with interesting new acquaintances."
"We covered reflexive verbs of first, second and third group, conjugated in "Passe compose, Plus-que Parfait, Futur simple." We also covered adjectives and past participles use in sentences."
"Worked with three students on conversation regarding going to the cafe, and asking about someone's day."
