Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered weather and climate vocabulary words. We made flash cards and created visual memory tools to help build this vocabulary. We also covered use of pronouns, and adjective noun gender agreement. I encouraged him to start recording new vocabulary words and creating flashcards of new vocabulary words, as vocabulary is a challenge point for him. The student's mother has asked that I incorporate tutoring in study skills and organization into our sessions, which I will begin next session."
"We worked on Spanish first: reviewed Tuesday's vocabulary terms, worked on SER vs. ESTAR, and learned new vocabulary. For math, we focused on the quadratic and graphing methods for solving equations. Overall, the session went great, and the student was very attentive!"
"The student has started the food chapter in class, so we went over the food vocabulary at the end of chapter 6 including how to pronounce the words correctly. We went through the chapter questions she was assigned in class in chapter 6, Page 198. She seemed to be very comfortable with those concepts. I did a question and answer session with her using her new vocabulary and verbs that her class will be working on. She does really well translating and answering in Spanish. We also continued to work on memorizing the sounds that each Spanish letter makes in order to make it easier for her to pronounce words she does not know. In doing so, I spelled words in Spanish and had her write down the letters I was saying."
