Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"At the first session, I explained and illustrated numerous strategies of approaching Data Sufficiency problems on the GMAT. Also, I reviewed twenty different GMAT questions in great detail. For example, I discussed the methods of analyzing the question stem, categorizing the answer choices, translating words into equations, setting up tables for data calculations, and reviewing answer choices to eliminate trap answer choices. I also explained the pattern of trap answers found on the GMAT. For example, many test takers forget to test numerical values that are negative or fractional in nature when they perform mathematical calculations, solely focusing on positive integers. In our sessions, we will work on certain basic math concepts such as fractions, exponents, and number properties. I also asked the student to review twenty problems from the Data Sufficiency section of the GMAT test prep book."
"I gave him the math portion of a GMAT diagnostic test. He walked me through his process for each problem, and I helped him solve problems when necessary."
"Reviewed practice test results briefly; discussed the student's options for delaying taking the exam; planned for next session."
