Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This was a great student and she understood the concepts well! We covered several problems that involved the calculation of equilibrium "output" (or Y) and various supporting problems that demonstrated the effects of changing different variables. We also covered a related graph, and also discussed the calculations related to the marginal propensity to consume, the marginal propensity to save, and the tax multiplier. I forwarded a couple of supportive websites related to the tax multiplier, and will forward our notes to her email address."
"During this session we reviewed her quizzes from class. The main topics today were efficiency, exchange, and game theory. The student is getting ready for her upcoming final and she is going to continue to practice her class work."
"We covered the concepts of Production Costs, Perfect Competition, and Monopolies. We talked about the MR, MC, ATC, AVC, and AFC curves and how they affect firm production, profit, cost, and loss. We also discussed the differences in price setting between Perfect Competition and Monopolies. The student picked up on topics quickly, although I recommend review of specific terminology in the course textbook. She was very polite and asked questions when she needed more clarification. We worked through a quiz on the subject matter after our review and scored an 86.5. Although she said she attained a 90 on her first quiz on earlier subject material, the topics we discussed were more advanced. Given this, I believe she performed well and showed a lot of insight even on confusing questions."
