"We went through public versus private access modifiers, state and behavior operations as it pertains to objects. We also cover accessor and mutator methods."
"We talked about applets in Java and their use. We made an applet in Eclipse that moves a circle around the window and it bounces off of the sides. The student enjoyed making the "game" and was into learning about graphics."
"In this session, the student and I went over how to use for loops. She learned how to manipulate them so as to make a diagonal, backslash, and square out of numbers and 'x's. Afterwards, we worked on learning how to use if statements, for loops, and modulus operators to have a user put in a number, and create a pyramid of that many rows. It was a bit tricky to get the errors out of the code when the numbers to print in the pyramid became double digits; however, she did really well in understanding the concept and the final product."
