Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered medical terms in Spanish and also reviewed the flashcards that he had. After we finished his Spanish homework we spent the remaining time reviewing different Spanish phrases. Finally, we discussed an upcoming paper he is having and I gave him suggestions on how to do his research. He seemed to enjoy the material. I am going to bring articles in Spanish that are on topics he told me he likes. This coupled with the review of terms should help him with the course."
"This session served as a final review before the student's exam. We reviewed present perfect, present progressive, conditional, and subjunctive-introducing future tense (noting the similarities to conditional). In addition, we reviewed culture, covering sections for Paraguay, Uruguay, and Spain. I left the student with additional practice quizzes (subjunctive vs. indicative) as this topic is particularly tricky."
"The student and I reviewed his progress for all subjects. We then completed his Spanish homework involving translation and reading comprehension questions. I told him he needs to finish his preterite practice over the weekend."
"The student did excellent in this session as we mainly went over material that he will be quizzed on very soon. He studied the vocab terms and I quizzed him on them after discussing them. He is set and ready to go."
"The session went very well. We worked in practicing by conjugating imperfect and past tense. We also worked on a project they have to do for the class which consisted in making stories with fictional characters."
"The student and I went over some material for an upcoming test about compound tenses. We were able to review some of the compound tenses and do some work on her online homework."
