Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During our last session, we finished the math packet and I edited the student's essay. We created a schedule for how he should study for these two tests over the next four days. I really enjoyed tutoring this student, he is a hard-working pupil. Best of luck to you guys!"
"This was a fun and interesting session! We covered ANOVA and multiple comparison analysis. This was part of a large final project that wanted to study how the winning percentage of athletes was effected by pressure, focus, and enjoyment at the different skill levels of high school, college, and pro. He had a good grasp of the formulas needed and what we discovered was we needed to work on the idea of Blocking Factor."
"The student and I covered vectors and the applications of them. Calculating the angle between two vectors gave her the most problems. We went over a few, and then she understood them. She felt great about the subject. She understood the material very well. We went over a few quick ways to determine dot product. This made it easier to compute angle with the magnitude. We went over a few practice problems, and she had extra to finish."
"The student and I worked through a lot of her Algebra 2 final. We covered a variety of topics, although the graph transformations and identifying the domain and range pf those were the most difficult for her (we'll continue to work on these.) She was able to get through a lot because she had already started some of the review and was communicative and determined as we went through each problem."
"We covered review of prior courses of Algebra, study techniques, interval notations, order of evaluation, and classification of the number system. He was very attentive and active through the whole session."
"The student and I did the first half of a practice test; he seems well prepared as far as the content goes. We are working on his test taking when it comes to time management, using multiple choice to your advantage, and quick tips to solve seemingly difficult problems. We will continue in this preparation on Tuesday."
