Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on preparing the student for his math quiz tomorrow, which will cover exponential and logarithmic functions. To review, we completed practice problems I provided, as well as from his textbook. He had a clear understanding of the material and was confident about the quiz tomorrow. He took two quizzes last week, getting an 85% on his math quiz and feeling very good about his biology quiz."
"Today we went over the chapter 4 review homework. She had a good grasp of that chapter using the review materials. She has been doing well in class, and she thinks our sessions are helping her learn the material."
"The student has a midterm in Algebra 2 which she needs help with. We started going over all the material from the beginning of the school year, particularly factoring, absolute value, square root equations, polynomial expansion etc. I explained each concept and we went over a few practice problems."
"I covered the concept of 10th grade geometry this evening. The student is eager to learn and active. I included some strategy on how to start analyzing a problem. I believe he will enjoy his geometry class better under my help."
"In this lesson, we did many practice problems on summing approximate area under the curve using right, left, and middle partitions. We also used a general n and took the limit to find the exact area. This is the concept we previewed at the end of our previous session, and I think after all the practice, the student has got this down."
"Today we worked on writing, solving, and graphing inequality problems. The student was confused about the difference between closed and open circles when graphing, but we reviewed it and she was better. We then worked on finding the area and perimeter of triangles, rectangles, squares, and circles, and on probability problems."
