Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I helped the student review specific words for an upcoming weekly quiz. I had him review all of the tenses and created a practice quiz based on previous quizzes he had returned to him. I told him what tenses to focus intently on before tomorrow's quiz and we set up the structure for the next session."
"We began our session with a short quiz to review last week's material. The students did pretty well but still need a little practice with verb conjugation. Following the quiz, we practiced ordering food in a restaurant. Next we learned reflexive verbs and their uses followed by some new vocabulary. We ended the session with a discussion of possessive pronouns and time adjectives."
"Student A: She worked on an upcoming project (winter vocabulary). Student B: We reviewed "ser" vs "estar," other key verbs, and pet vocabulary. Both students did very well this week! Both girls were motivated and engaged. Student B and I used Cornell notes for her studying. Student A has a list of selected vocab to use for her project. She has a study sheet we made during the session."
"The student worked on an assignment he had for Spanish, and afterwards he worked a little on an assignment for physics."
"We started to practice the conjunctions. The student was very optimistic and always learning, so it is easy to learn new topics. He has a great attitude to learn new topics and practice them."
"We reviewed the alphabet and pronunciation, which he is going to further study independently. We also reviewed numbers 1-100 and combined that with formatting of the date. We explored different common greeting phrases as well as phrases that will be personally useful to him on his trips to Mexico. He is to memorize the numbers 1-20 in sequences of 10 so he can reference them from memory, and also 30-100 by tens."
