Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I had our first session. We spoke about the LSAT scoring system and overall strategies. We then worked on a linear logic game while discussing and applying various techniques to maximize one's efficiency in working on them. I asked her to study and work on the linear games sections on the logic games book before our next meeting."
"The student got 18 correct on one arguments section, 14 on another, and 6 on the logic games. This demonstrated significant improvement on the arguments sections because he completed these sections within the time constraints. For logic games, we need to continue working on carefully constructed setups. We worked through incorrect answers from one arguments section and three logic games."
"Because this was our first session, we spent the majority of the time establishing a baseline for his performance on the LSAT. He worked through portions of the logical reasoning and logic games sections. We then graded the questions that he completed, and I reviewed the questions that he missed as well as those that he struggled with. I also gave some general test-taking advice in regards to time management and inferring answers. He did excellent work and performed well on all but one logic game exercise. His biggest challenges moving forward will be time management and picking up on small, but crucial details, particularly in logic games. A combination of time-induced stress and missing a few, key rules were responsible for one set of logic games proving particularly challenging. Before the next session I have requested that he take a full practice test, so that we can get a better idea of his strengths and weaknesses. We will then spend the next session reviewing the test and working on strategies to improve his score."
