Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Reviewed basic thermodynamic concepts and problem solving; worked through sample problems related to upcoming test problems; reviewed specific student problems related to enthalpy and entropy. The student is an eager and very bright student; he seemed to benefit from explanations which distilled concepts into simpler terms. I asked the student to let me know how the test goes the following day."
"The student and I discussed the central dogma of molecular biology. We reviewed the structure of DNA, RNA, and protein. Transcription, translation, and DNA replication were briefly discussed. I reviewed the concept of antiparallel strands and orientation of these molecules. We reviewed the structure and function of RNA tRNA and rRNA. Lastly, we explored various mutations of the DNA level and their consequences to protein."
"We reviewed the last midterm in-depth and went over the thought process behind it. We went over the introduction of quantum mechanics in chemistry. The student liked that I was willing to be a mentor--someone who is more in tune with the mental resilience and challenges of college."
