Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed general chemistry topics for the student's upcoming exam. We primarily covered intermolecular forces and their relationship to vapor pressure, and phase changes. We also covered a bit of genetics centered on the steps of mitosis."
"The student and I discussed momentum, impulse, and collisions. We worked through several modules on the Physics site to build her conceptual understanding and talked about how collision problems appear on the exam."
"During this session we covered simple harmonic motion. We started by looking at how velocity and displacement are related to each other. This led us into a discussion about ellipses and how to calculate the area of an ellipse. We also discussed how the graph of velocity and displacement would look if there was damping. We continued to look at simple harmonic motion in general, how to find the equations for displacement, velocity and acceleration as well as simply finding the maximum velocity, displacement, and acceleration without finding the full equation as well as what part of the cycle each of these would be."
