"We read for 20 minutes, then I asked the student to write a paragraph recapping some of the things that happened in the pages we read. We then worked on a math worksheet she had for homework. One part of the worksheet required that she draw an image, so I allowed her to use our remaining time to color her drawing once we'd completed the math problems."
"Reading comprehension homework--student read aloud two separate stories and then answered questions on each. Next she completed math homework on two-dimensional shape, angles within, and identifying shapes to match rules. Then I administered two short quizzes, one on ordinal numbers and one on place value. She scored 100% on the first quiz and 92% on the second."
"We began by reviewing the student's math homework. We worked on story problems, extracting information, and multiplication. He did a great job problem solving and reading the story problems. We then discussed and reviewed his reading homework and added more detail. Finally, we read "Moosling the Babysitter" (I left a copy there). We worked on adding -ed, reading with expression, and the author's message. He wrote one sentence about the book."
