"We read two stories and answered a total of fourteen multiple choice questions. Students underlined and circled important terms in the question and found supporting evidence in the stories."
"-I had three students. -We covered short (written) answers related to reading comprehension passages. -Aside from having to continuously remind students to stay on task, it went well. -Packets were left for teachers to review. -A brief progress report"
"Tonight was my first night working with this student, so there was a bit of time spent getting to know each other. I always try to pin down some likes and dislikes of my students because it helps me better keep them engaged throughout lessons. I was fortunate enough to get to talk to his teacher before our meeting tonight and I am absolutely thrilled that there is this open communication to better help him. I started off with introducing some structure word cards that we used when I read some descriptive passages. I got these structure words from the reading comprehension program his mother wants me to use. Overall, the student did really well with the cards, and my goal in the future is to have him describe what he sees with a little less prompting. However, since it was our first night everything went really well. We then read "Pindule" and discussed each page and what the overall main idea was of the book."
