Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Covered Basics of Translational vs. Rotational Kinematics, including torque, angular velocity, angular acceleration, angular momentum rotational, translational and potential energy, and moments of inertia. We finished the student's 20 question review packet and did some conceptual work as well."
"The student and I focused on chapter 20, biotechnology. We reviewed the ways that scientists study DNA in the laboratory by using the million cells, bacteria, and various factors. We covered cloning, sequence libraries, restriction fragment length polymorphism, polymerase chain reaction, and southern blotting. We then completed restriction mapping problems in his laboratory homework by a process of elimination and simple arithmetic."
"Great session. First we reviewed how to take good, clear, concise notes from the chapter review. From going over just one topic on the chapter review I noticed that she takes excellent notes and she knows how to pick out the important information and how to organize that information. Next we focused on understanding the concepts in the chapter 32 review and chapter 27 in general. We went over homeostasis, the animal kingdom, amphibians, arthropods, properties of the amniotic eggs, and how humans affect evolution."
