Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We discussed notes on the chapter about World War II and some of the causes of WWII. We discussed effects of economy, the rise of fascism, nationalism, and the need to fight over colonies."
"The student and I worked on a DBQ he had for his class regarding the Progressive Era and how effective its programs and reforms were. We first went through all of the documents and discussed what they were, why they were important, what they showed, and if they demonstrated effective Progressive reform. From there, we discussed a thesis statement/argument and an organization structure. I am continually impressed by his critical thinking abilities and his desire to ask questions. He doesn't take anything at face value, but instead asks questions until he understands something and its ramifications. We then finished with his IDs for the week which, as always, he did a great job on."
"The student's test (multiple choice) from last week was postponed to this Tuesday, so we had another opportunity to review 5 chapters by going through all of the study guide terms. On her study guide are 38 essay questions of which one will be asked on another writing exam this Friday. So we reviewed some of these as well."
