Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In today's lesson with the student, we covered the period from 1890-1917, approximately. We discussed the Panic of 1893, the free silver coinage movement, the Populist Party and the Progressive Movement, exemplified in Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft and Woodrow Wilson. I had him read from the book, we discussed, I asked comprehension check questions and then had him do multiple choice questions in the back of the chapter. We also discussed his A.P. literature class a bit, in regards to argumentative essay writing."
"Both students are doing a great job with their note taking and are always prepared for our sessions. We covered WWI and more specifically, U.S. international relations and domestic policy during this time period."
"The student told me that she scored a 90% on her unit test. It was indicative of hard work, concentration and a whole lot of confidence. It was her highest score to date. We worked on terms and identification from two chapters and then I gave her a battery of notes on answers to essay questions she will need to know for her next essay test. The teacher has given her a list of past AP exam questions pertaining to each chapter. My task has been to prepare possible answers to these questions, so that when she has her test, the content will be familiar."
