Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked on comparative and superlative constructions and how to use them with adjective agreement; we then spent a long time on relatives and went through some practice questions, especially focusing on the difference between qui and que and how they are different from English. Finally, we reviewed the past and future of reflexive verbs for her test on Tuesday."
"The student and I reviewed a few of the topics we went over last time I was there and tried to add some new notes on grammar and verb conjugation."
"This was the first session with the student. She is working on both Algebra and French. In Algebra, we discussed Functions (what they are, how they work, and basic rules), equations of lines and how to find different equations of lines. In French we worked on the past tense of etre as a helping verb and the list and what the verbs on it have in common. All in all, a very good session."
"We read through a reading assignment for her class. This was a difficult reading, well above a French 3 level so it took us an hour to work through. Then we read the first chapter of The Little Prince. Our goal is to improve her listening understanding as well as her vocabulary."
"The student and I spent most of the session going over indirect and disjunctive pronouns in French. We went over the concepts and then did three practice exercises. While doing these exercises, we went over the meaning of the questions and pronunciation. We spent the last half hour going over her geometry study guides for past tests."
"During this session, the student and I reviewed the grammar that he had previously covered, and he had several new activity sheets and workbook activities that needed to be completed. I helped him to finish the activities and we spoke in French about what he wears during various times of the year before covering the past tense."
