Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over the past tense (preterito) endings for AR verbs. We made notecards with the verb and the meaning on the back and just memorized them. I gave him a few pointers to help him remember what some of the verbs meant. Student is doing really well."
"During this session the student and I completed a review for her quiz the following day. We placed importance in memorizing the formula, as this was a simple quiz regarding the material she stated was going to be covered (commands)."
"Today, the student and I worked on his online homework assignments for class. In completing the exercises he practiced conjugating stem-changing verbs (only in the third person) in the preterite to describe what actions people completed in the past. He also practiced reading and understanding the use of direct and indirect objects and pronouns in a reading passage. At the end of the session he practiced writing sentences that involved inserting direct and indirect object pronouns to replace the direct and indirect objects in the sentence before it. By the end of the session he remembered and was able to change preterit verbs only in the third person singular and third person plural without assistance. Before the next session he is going to work on understanding the replacement of direct and indirect objects by their respective pronouns and will start to work on some homework exercises. He will then come with questions that he has for our next session."
