Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Tonight we went over a good deal of material. We reviewed the use of indirect object pronouns, direct object pronouns, comparisons and superlatives in Spanish. The student was very focused throughout the entire session and I think that if he is able to put in additional time studying over the next couple of days that he will do well on the final exam. He indicated to me that he was already studying his flashcards and we are going to meet tomorrow night to do a review of all of the concepts on his study guide."
"Today the student and I worked specifically on correcting a rough draft of a Spanish story she has to complete for class. She initially submitted an original version, to which her teacher gave back corrections. We went over in detail all the errors she made, why she made them, and we not only corrected them, but bettered the overall fluency of the story. The student's creativity really shined through in her conceptualization of the story. Also, her better understanding and use of the Preterite and Imperfect tenses was obvious in her story. I really believe she is slowly but surely garnering a better and more in-depth understanding of these two tricky tenses. With more consistent practice, I believe she will have no trouble mastering them."
"Tonight we reviewed vocab, commands with direct object pronouns, and present progressive. She knows vocab pretty well, and we worked on distinguishing present progressive, commands, present tense, and past tense. She did pretty well with it."
