Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We discussed solving exponential and logarithmic equations and compound and simple interest problems. Great attitude. The student seemed to like the inverse property of logarithmic and exponential equations the least. I reviewed this specific property for the student and broke down what the theorem was "trying to say.""
"We looked over a review for the student's algebra 2 test. Because of his effort, the student grasps the concepts. After just a little bit of practice he had nearly mastered everything on the review."
"The student was in need of review for an upcoming exam. We reviewed integration by substitution, numerical integration, derivatives of the natural log function, and integration of the natural log function. Its clear that she is understanding the basic concepts but I stressed to the student that she needs to continue to practice problems to sharpen her skill set. I provided the student with a list of derivatives and integrals that I found useful to memorize. I also provided her with a list of sample problems and solutions."
"In today's session we focused on rational expressions. We discussed and practiced methods of multiplying, dividing, adding, and subtracting various types of rational expressions."
"We reviewed previously studied topics and focused on the deficiencies found after taking her first test. We will focus on conic sections for Friday."
"Today we reviewed the student's math homework on volumes of rectangular prisms. We also reviewed surface areas of square pyramids and various prisms as part of his preparation for his math test on Friday. By the end of the meeting, he showed improvement and a better understanding of the concepts. Lastly, we discussed his history homework, which included reading and a worksheet on Daoism."
