Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In today's session, the student and I spent more time discussing his study habits and how he can continue to develop them. He has gained an incredible amount of confidence over the past 3 sessions that we have had, and it is starting to show on his assessments."
"We reviewed her ongoing slides from class. Today, we discussed the ideas of a CPI, GDP, GNP and how they are interrelated. We worked several examples to show how inflation affects the nominal GDP computation, and how a GDP deflator is computed and utilized. She is a good student and focuses well on material. The biggest difficulty I see for her upcoming test will be comfort with the algebra, not the actual vocabulary. When we were working with the problems, it was where we proved a concept to be applied through numbers that she expressed the most hesitation. She has a test tomorrow, and we discussed several ways ideas could be tested."
"The student and I worked off of established rapport to jump into economics curriculum. His confidence was high, and we made great progress in learning. Concepts covered today: Study habits and techniques, test taking techniques, Currency types (Commodity, commodity backed, fiat) Currency definition and components: (Medium of exchange, store of value, unit of accounting), Loan backed securities (interest rates and concepts)."
