Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We mainly focused on solving equations, polynomials, circles, and graphing. We also talked about increasing and decreasing functions and domain and range. In addition, we worked some problems on multi-part functions and went over how to write their formulas."
"The student and I reviewed his quarter exam he took last week. It seemed that he made a few simple math errors, but was comfortable with most of the problems. We reviewed all 20 questions and worked through a new homework assignment. His teacher was concerned about his knowledge of domain and range values as well as understanding slope. We reviewed a word problem about slope and worked on the real world definition of slope."
"Today, we started off with finding asymptotes, domain, and limits of polynomials. We then looked at solving for "x" with polynomials in the form of fractions."
"This was our second time meeting. She recently took a test and was satisfied with her scores. The student does well preparing for our sessions by preparing questions and having material to work on. She takes responsibility for her own learning, which is great!"
"Today the student and I worked on more material for the first test that he will be retaking in about a week. Specifically, we worked on homework problems on exponents and radicals. Once completing that, we went through material he learned today in class and worked on homework problems for the next class. We were also able to plan a bit more for the approach up to both the retake of Test 1 and Test 4."
"He had a physics test that day so we worked on pre-calc, and law of sines. The following week will be law of cosines."
