Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In today's session we continued with the review of the coursework thus far in preparation for the midterm exam. The student expressed confidence in the material. In the next session we should be able to wrap up our review. The student will work through chapter three review prior to our next meeting."
"Student and I went over his chapter eight test of which he received a 74 on. I noticed that many of the concepts that were missed consisted of general foundation concepts and little mistakes. We also went over his chapter ten problems over solving for areas. I advised him to continue using his formula sheet as a reference."
""¢ We started off with geometry. He is currently doing trigonometry which seemed to intimidate him. We finished his homework pretty quickly with no real issues. It went though trig ratios and labeling the sides of right triangles. We also did some multistep questions on non-right triangles. He was able to complete these problems without any issue. He should be ahead in geometry by a week or two. "¢ We then went though his pre-lab. Most of the definitions I had him go online and look up. I explained the theory behind bacterial growth."
"The student and I covered both Geometry and Physics during our session. We went over her physics homework that covered finding both the period and frequency in different problems when given various information. She picked up on this concept pretty easily and showed no sign of struggling when solving the problems. For her geometry homework, we covered finding the shaded area of a region given different inscribed shapes within the circle. Overall, she did not struggle with this material and worked through each problem, picking up on common trends depending what type of shape was inscribed in the circle."
"We covered perimeter, the apothem, and area for regular polygons. Additionally, we discussed three dimensional objects and cross sections."
"Today we spent our time working to find the area of regular polygons and irregular figures. We looked at these topics in a variety of ways to see different points of view for solving them. Well done."
