"I went ahead and found a series of analogies worksheets for him that I thought would test him on the upper-echelon of analogies he might see on the test, and he did exceptionally well. He was able to answer about 50% correctly completely without my help, 30% correctly with some guidance from me, and only about 20% did he really struggle with. But again, these are for high school seniors and juniors. Now when he looks back on the test analogies they'll be a piece of cake! The second function that these exercises served was to provide us with some great new vocab words to review. That being said, I wrote up the vocab from today together with the words we learned yesterday. For next time, he should review these thoroughly as I am going to write up some analogies questions based on his knowledge of these words."
"Today, we went over the two practice tests she took this past weekend. We then continued with some of the math concepts including solving for consecutive integers when the values are not given, percentages, decimals, and scientific notation. In addition, we went over analogy strategies and did some exercises. We concluded with some reading comprehension practice."
"I had the student do two Verbal and Math sections timed and scored. The student is performing well and is ready to take a full practice test on Thursday night in preparation for Saturday's test."
