Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"After getting back the student's results from the March SAT, we targeted our approach a bit more today. We spent most of the session on the reading section. We focused on how to figure out what the question was asking. We broke down each answer choice into multiple smaller questions. We also determined what was necessarily true, and what could be true. We also spent some time on math strategies."
"We followed a similar structure to last week's session, focusing our attention this time on the reading section. The student is working at a high vocabulary level. He finds the single-blank sentences more challenging in general, but was very attentive to the tips I gave him regarding his responses and took plenty of notes on new vocabulary and related words. He also followed through with studying the guide I sent him and has been studying flashcards of the top words."
"Today we covered the inverse of domain and range, working with exponents, word problems with related rates, consecutive integer problems, and sale prices after discounts. The student did fairly well, and she seemed to understand the concepts. Overall, no major issues."
