Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I helped the student prepare for his midterm. Topics included: buoyant force, pressure, electric fields, force between static charges, etc. We did several extremely rigorous problems together. His attitude was very good and since formulas and notes were fresh in his mind. His study skills are fine and we still have work to do on the test. I thought we worked very well together and he expressed an interest in meeting again. He seems to be a very diligent student."
"In today's session, the student and I worked through a review worksheet and some homework/lab problems she had in preparation for her exam this Friday. These topics focused mainly on circuits, determining voltage, current, resistance, and power in both series and parallel setups. We talked about how resistance is something intrinsic to the material and construction of a device, and how to use that fact to approach circuit problems. We also analyzed how the circuit laws differ for parallel and series, and how this affects the relationships between the quantities."
"Went over physics dealing with circular motion/centripetal force, momentum, potential and kinetic energy. Overall understanding of how to do the basics so far and using that to answer higher level questions, which is an excellent sign. You've come a long way, keep it up!!"
