"His essay for this session was much better than last time. It was obvious that he enjoyed this topic much more than the last one. We went over some math in his practice book, although he knows quite a bit of it already. We spent more time on the verbal parts of the exam, looking at new words, etc. To get a feel for how long the actual exam will be, I've asked him to find a good chunk of time and take a complete practice test in one go, allowing for the short breaks between each section."
"First, we went over questions from the full length test she took yesterday. Then, we continued with the math concepts. Afterwards, I assigned her homework for the next few days."
"We looked at a practice math section, which she had taken since our previous session. From here, we worked through a quantitative comparison section. We then moved on to word problems, which I asked her to solve under a time constraint. Together, we found that when she turned the problem into an equation, she had no issues. From here, we moved on to verbal reasoning. Our work with stems has paid off. She will have ample extra time, and I encouraged her to check the ones that she doesn't know. Analogies are becoming strong for her and sentence completions are no issue. For our next session, I assigned her math and quantitative reasoning sections from the exam."
