Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went over Integration techniques using trigonometric substitution. We worked on a few examples until he felt comfortable with it. We also reviewed how to use Euler's method in approximating solutions to differential equations."
"Topics covered: using variables to express numbers, algebraic expressions, rounding to find products, multiplications using factors of 10. Student attitude was positive and motivated. Multiplication strategies were covered. Student is excelling in mathematical concepts."
"Today I had a math review session with the student. I went through some of his math homework problems. He was having some challenges with Ratios and Fraction problems and I helped him understand the concepts."
"The student started some more advanced trig in her class. The unit circle is one of the most confusing parts. We spent some time talking about what it means and how to use it. Then we practiced several different problems that used the unit circle. We also worked on problems that required the use of a calculator. I emailed her some extra practice so she can further prepare for her quiz. We will be meeting again later in the week."
"We covered inverse of functions and plugging one function into another. She is not struggling so far and is understanding what has been taught thus far. Next week is her test and we will be getting ready for that."
"We reviewed all of her decimal math from class. Then we reviewed multiply decimals by 10 and 100. Finally we reviewed two word problems. She struggled with the minor details on one word problem. We will continue to review word problems."
