Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Topics: ICE Tables, Acid-Base Solutions, Titration, Henderson-Hasselbalch Equations. Progress: Worked through practice problems in the relevant chapters."
"We went over concepts and questions for the student's exam on equilibrium. First, we discussed Le Chatelier's Principle and how to write the equation for the equilibrium constant for a reaction. She had a good understanding of how to set up equations to solve for K, but she needed more practice on how a system would react when stress is induced. So, we went over many problems that helped her recognize if a stress increased the amount of reactants or substrates. By the end of our session, she was much better at solving the problems. I gave her some additional problems to do after our session."
"We reviewed for the student's Chemistry test over kinetics and thermodynamics. We completed several questions for his review packet."
"In our first session together, the student and I worked on practice questions pertaining to complex metal ions and crystal field theory. I believe that the session was productive due to the student's impressive level of focus and interest in the material. For extra practice, I recommended completing as many relevant book problems as possible before the upcoming final exam."
"We worked on ideal gas law problems today from a worksheet. The problems included the PV=nRT equation and both Charles's and Boyle's law. We also went through the derivation of the combined gas law from the ideal gas law."
"We went over thermal chemistry and heat calculations. The student had a good attitude toward the material reviewed."
