Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student started on a couple of the games and got stuck when it came time to answer the questions. So we spent most of this lesson actually doing games together for the first time - we completed three regular linear games and two advanced linear games. It seemed like she understood all of the diagramming and set-up work we've been doing; she just needed a little help kick starting that good prep work into action on the questions themselves. Although the games were a little tough for her at points, I think it is just a matter of her working on them and getting a lot of practice in then everything will start coming to her more naturally. For the last part of the lessons, we started talking about the differences between linear and grouping games and preparing for grouping games. I threw a lot of information about conditionals and game set-up of grouping games at her in the last minutes, so we are meeting again tomorrow so hopefully she will be able to pick up more then."
"This week the student focused on working at a faster pace, and she completed more questions than she had been. Logic games continues to be her strength. We then worked on reading comprehension, where she continues do well."
"I reviewed the student's work since last session. We discussed how to use the new prep book that she purchased, and talked about how to study for the test in the last week. We went over a couple of different games that she had not seen before."
