Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session the student and I continued to go over logical reasoning. We went over all of the logical reasoning questions that she missed, making sure she understood why her answer was incorrect and finding the right answer. Then we continued by going through some questions together."
"We did several logical reasoning questions. We spent most of the time focusing on reading comprehension questions. The student recently took a practice test, and she did really well on the logical reasoning section (where we have spent most of our efforts). She indicated that she had not done as well as expected on the reading comprehension section, so we decided to focus there to try to improve her score in that section. On her most recent practice test, she scored about at 168, which is a 10-point increase from when she started with me."
"Introduction session - I explained how sessions would work, and observed the student complete the logic game, logical reasoning questions, and a reading comp passage. We went over how to study reading comp and then reviewed logical reasoning questions and three logic games."
"Logic Games: Reviewed games section from home, emphasized more efficient sketching, including use of adjacent page. Emphasized understanding of rules and their implications before writing, especially number rules and limited options scenarios. Logical Reasoning: Emphasized importance of pre-phrasing answers."
"The student and I worked through an entire logic games sections. We worked on his strategy for this section of the test."
"We covered conditionals, valid inferences and counterexamples. Then we went over logic games. I showed the student some diagramming techniques that make the deductions more apparent. Then we worked on logical reasoning. I showed the student how important it is to get the arrow pointing in the right direction."
