"This was our first session in a while, so we caught up on a bunch of topics we had not covered. We concentrated today on inference questions, and he practiced evaluating both questions and answer choices. I asked him to finish the diagnostic for me for next time, as well as to complete a writing diagnostic."
"Today was our first session in a of couple weeks. We focused on her two weaker areas today: math and writing. For math, I gave her a list of the equations, rules, and methods that she should know in order to prepare for the test. A lot of it was stuff that she knew well, but we went over the areas that she did not feel confident about, such as ratios and probabilities. For writing, I compiled a list of the most necessary grammar rules to know for the SAT, and we went over sample questions for each rule. I found that she knows the grammar rules well for the most part, but she struggles mainly with correct prepositional phrases. This is something that I want to cover more in our next session. Finally, we went through a writing and a math section in her SAT book and talked about each of the answers as we went along. It was a good session, and it helped me further understand areas that we need to target moving forward."
