"Today the student and I continued to go over his practice exam, working through the long answer and definition problems and making sure he felt comfortable with them. We focused especially on the question of efficiency in monopolistic competition, as well as game theory, the prisoner's dilemma, and characteristics of oligopolies."
"Specific topics covered - indifference curves, economies of scale and scope. The vocabulary problem was addressed with constant and reinforced reference to the text and supporting materials. Math will be addressed using some non-course work. We will work on making sure words/questions are understood before answering questions, and on skill/techniques for answering multiple choice questions."
"The student and I went over the first two chapters of the economics textbook to make sure he understands the material. We briefly scanned through the chapters to make sure he understood the concepts, then did the practice problems at the end of the chapters. We will meet again on Friday to do chapters 3-5 to prepare him for his test next week on the first five chapters."
