Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We finished up the student review for the AP test this Thursday. We reviewed by going over a prior year's AP free response section, and what was supposed to be an hour and a half test, he got through it in just under an hour with very few mistakes, and plenty of time to go back and find them should he encounter a situation like that on the exam."
"Today, the student and I went over the simplification of rational functions. She had a very easy time with it and seemed to readily understand it. We also completed her test corrections. She did very well on the test and only made 2 calculation errors; other than that she understood the material very well."
"Both students worked on math today and did a great job. Student 1 worked on addition and subtraction of money, and Student 2 worked on subtracting angles. They both did a great job getting down to work. Student 2 also got her history quizzes last week and she has made huge improvements! The studying last week seems to have really paid off."
"Today, was our last session of tutoring. We worked on his homework that covered solving and writing equations. The student did great! He should continue to practice solving equations and inequalities throughout the summer. We discussed different websites he could use. A win--he Met Standards on the assessment test!"
"Today we went over a review on the remaining material that was covered in class but not on the previous exams. Next session we will go over the previous exams in preparation for his final on Thursday."
"This was our first review session (of at least four planned) for the student's semester final. We handled problems dealing with logarithms, compound interest, and graphing of trigonometric functions."
