Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed for his upcoming test covering both chapters on magnetic fields. We reviewed using a magnetic field to generate a current in a circuit as well as magnetic fields generated by currents in wires. We reviewed all of the right-hand rules for magnetic fields in different situations such as currents in solenoids, moving charged particles, and moving wires in a magnetic field. The student is doing well with using the various equations for magnetic fields and is doing better at recognizing when multiple equations or using the right-hand rules with a certain equation are needed."
"The student was continuing her encounter with geometric optics and imaging, with sections on lenses and Snell's law. The textbook she has still presents a mountain of information in a rather haphazard way, but the student was able to pick up on several of the main points very well, and was, as always, very good-natured about it."
"We completed a circuit that I left with him last week. He finds it best when he can break down the problem into parts. We went through Kirchhoff's Law. I did a problem with him and he was able to complete one on his own."
