Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over her goals for the LSAT and what she had done so far to study. It seems like we have to raise the score 5-15 points depending on the range of her previous scores. We then solved a few logic games together and she did very well. I showed her a couple of strategies that may help in the future on these. For next time I asked her to take a practice exam all the way through under the time constraints, and let me know the score so we know exactly what we're working with. I also said I would send over some practice problems, and asked that she bring her work so I can see how she's thinking through the questions."
"We reviewed the student's work from the previous session. We talked about study tactics, and I evaluated the student in reading."
"The student and I focused half of this lesson on reading comprehension, and half on logical reasoning. This system seems to be working well for us, so we will probably stick with it for the rest of our time together. For reading comprehension, we will continue practicing this section so the student can pick up on patterns and familiarize herself with the question types. We then moved on to logical reasoning, focusing on assumption questions mostly. I talked the student through the process of answering this type of question, bridging gaps, negating answer choices, etc. This clicked well with her. She will continue to do practice tests, which we will continue to review in our sessions. Overall, she's putting in a lot of hard work and doing a fine job."
