Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on his Chapter 8 homework. Topics covered included: inflation, interest rates, change in supply/ demand in loanable funds based on differing exchange rates, and change in supply based on the federal funds rate."
"We covered concepts for the student's business finance class in preparation for her final exam. The main concepts discussed were the cost of capital, the capital asset pricing model, and the expected return and standard deviation of a portfolio. She is motivated to perform well on her final exam, which is three hours long and to be taken from her home computer. Prior to our next session, the student will complete several practice problems likely to appear on the exam for us to review."
"During today's session, we discussed statistical software and its uses. We also discussed some accounting and financial terms and their applications. Recent world events along with monetary policy and its effects were also discussed. Again, the student seems to have a very strong interest in the financial and economic spheres and asks very good questions. He also appears to have the analytic skills necessary prove successful in this realm - especially once he becomes more experienced in the field. I imagine future sessions will build upon these discussions."
