"I covered adjusting entries with the student using the adjusted trial balance. We also went over a homework assignment that was due."
"Worked on Chapters 5 and 7, mostly worked with bonds and statement of cash flows. He has shown a lot of improvement. We will meet again tomorrow at 6pm."
"Before we met for the session, we discussed briefly on the phone about her goals for this class and for accounting. She is interested in an accounting career, however she is concerned about her performance in this class. She mentioned that she felt fairly confident in the concepts that were covered by the last exam - and based on her notes it seems that she has prepared well for the class. During the session, we went through the chapter that she covered in class this week (cash and internal controls); focusing specifically on Bank Reconciliations and the use of the Cash Over and Short account in the context of Petty Cash and mismatched cash/sales. She is a step-based learner and immediately grasped the concept of Cash Over and Short when it was explained in step-format. We were able to begin discussing Bank Reconciliations. She is going to complete her online assignment over the weekend and discuss any issues on Monday. We have decided to schedule meetings on Mondays so we can cover the material before it is covered in class."
