Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We established a study schedule and developed methods for studying primarily on his own. Gave him a packet of information and review problems."
"Beginning final review (exam tomorrow). Theory and conceptual overview of regression and correlation. Predominantly an intensive review of class slides."
"Today we reviewed for the final exam. The student did very well on the practice final questions and seems to know the material well. This was our last session as his class ends tomorrow."
"Last Wednesday, the student and I worked on 4 problems in math. It took us the entire time to work through the problems because she needed step by step guidance and had made some mistakes in the solving of multi step equations. She was a great listener and was willing to start over when we noticed a mistake. I appreciate her patience as this will show her that she needs to take her time and not rush through a problem without checking for sense. The last part was to compare decimals, but after she read the number in word form. If we have time next week, and her homework is complete, we can work on just understanding fractions and decimals at the basic level, so that she can be more able to apply that in different math situations."
"We reviewed the bisectors, trisection, and probability during the first half of session. The second half was about inverse, converse and contrapositive concepts in logic."
"The student brought with her a sample test. We went through each question systematically discussing various problem solving strategies. She seemed confident on many topics, especially after we discussed the procedure for finding the distance between a point and a plane."
