"Today the first student and I played "robot and spaceship." We reviewed some vocabulary from previous lessons, and today's new vocabulary for this student was: "jump", "mine", "pants", and "don't". The second student and I played "carousel." We also drew on flowers and colored them while reviewing the names of colors in Chinese. She also learned how to identify the word "dog" and "cat". New vocabulary for this student today was: "beautiful" and "flower"."
"We reviewed some of the phrases I taught last class. We watched a Chinese cartoon together and I helped him out with the translation."
"We covered lesson 18 and 19 today. These two lessons contain much more abstract vocabulary and concepts, but the student dealt with them just fine. We also covered the work book."
"Today the student and I worked on listening and comprehension activities. We listened to Spanish podcasts about contemporary issues in Spain. We then discussed new vocabulary and completed worksheets about the subject matter. We also went over the grammar of comparisons."
"The student and I began our session by talking about our schedule for this semester, his teacher's expectations, and his final exam result from last semester (89). From there, we reviewed old material to keep it fresh in the mind as well as focused on new vocabulary. We made flashcards and practiced writing the characters. Finally, we discussed the new grammar concepts in the upcoming chapter, which deals with distances. I am confident that he will have a great second semester!"
"The student did her homework first, which was to write notes on the Chinese video about having fast food. We watched the video together and I showcased Chinese characters and their meanings to her. Then we watched another Chinese video about Americans making dumplings since it was during Chinese New Year."
