Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this session the student and I continued working on the limit definitions for derivatives. We also looked ahead a bit to the rules about derivatives, which he is still fairly familiar with."
"I went over problems with the student involving the calculus of exponential and logarithmic functions, as well as basic definite/indefinite integration problems, as well as area problems. Overall, he has a good understanding of how to work these problems and I expect him to do well on his exam tomorrow."
"We reviewed some material for the last time before the student took a test later today. We mostly reviewed and practiced problems about finding critical points and asymptotes. We also reviewed derivatives a little bit, especially the chain rule, product rule, and quotient rule. His understanding of calculus is much, much better than when we started meeting a month ago. He seems to be relatively well prepared and confident for this upcoming test."
"We went over a review given by the instructor to prep for an exam on the 20th. We specifically reviewed IVT, MVT, 1st derivative and 2nd derivative test, parametric equations, and implicit differentiation."
"The student is still ahead in Calculus, so we did some practice in Physics. She had some very challenging questions picked out. Areas covered were potential difference, electric fields, and Coulomb's Law in vector form."
"We covered derivatives tonight. We specifically went over derivative methods like product rule, quotient rule, and chain rule. Next session, we will discuss optimization and how that applies to the application of derivatives. It is always great working with The student. She is fun to work with and always positive. I hope to see her succeed."
