"The student has completed his chapter on gas laws, and now is working on a class project making a hot air balloon. He requested help on this project as he was having trouble with the calculations portion of the project. In order to help him, I prepared a spreadsheet of geometric equations that would assist in finding the volume of substructures to his design. This helped him considerably as he was having difficulty understanding how he could divide his structure into manageable substructures. His assignment was to complete his design and transfer his calculations to his poster board."
"The student and I went over his homework on equilibrium constant in the beginning of the session today. Afterwards, we previewed some subtopics in reaction equilibrium and spontaneity including the Gibbs free energy, enthalpy, entropy, and the significance of their signs. We used a chemistry review packets for the session."
"We focused on the different gas laws to prepare for student's test. We also conducted some aspects of unit conversion for ideal gas law. We completed at least 15 practice problems. We also conducted an overview of Graham's rate of effusion law. The student initially struggled with concept of how to organize, but through repetition and defining each variable the student became more confident with the material."
