"The student and I worked on his International Finance homework on Chapter 10. Topics covered included: arbitrage profit, spot rates, forward rates, calls, puts, hedging methods, and market/exchange rates."
"We finished going over the student's' practice exam and generally reviewed concepts he needed to understand for his final exam."
"The student and I had a great session, and we started the session with a review of the two primary financial statements (the income statement and balance sheet). We reviewed their components and also discussed the interpretation of meaning of certain line items. In order to obtain a good understanding, we referenced the financial statements of a global company, and also started working through an assignment in which these financial statements were used in order to calculate and evaluate specific financial ratios (including the current ratio, return on assets, and return on equity). Comparisons were made with a similar company as a benchmark, and we also discussed the companies' working capital and the first company's change in sales from one year to the next. As we worked through the ratios, information was also provided regarding their interpretation."
