Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked through several inverse trig function problems, including derivatives and integrals. I showed her several tricks for solving these types of problems."
"We reviewed homework which covered mean, median, standard deviations, statistical applications, and biases."
"The student and I covered multi-step equations; equations with variables on both sides; ratios and proportions. In order to note progress on him, I made him solve all the odd exercises throughout each section after we together did all the even exercises. He struggled with the concept and application of ratios. It was a little bit hard for him to understand the unit ratio specifically; for this reason, I provided him with extra exercises and real life situations where he will need to know how to use the unit ratio. After some extra examples, he got this concept, and I left him with some homework to make sure of his understanding. He is very responsible with his assignments. I can already see improvement in his algebra 1 skills!"
"Began by learning some number theory and two conceptions of addition and subtraction. Two 'sprint sessions' of flights of simple math problems."
"The student and I reviewed Section 12.4-5 homework, contour drawings/cross sectional drawings of three dimensional graphs, equations of planes from linear functions z=mx+ny+c."
"We covered addition, subtraction, skip counting, telling time, number sequence. It was our first session. The student is a good student and did well staying focused for our session."
