"At the beginning reviewed a lot of vocabulary and some grammar points and useful sentence structure. We read three small books with objects based on color. We went through all related vocabulary. We continued to learn lesson 9 part 1 in textbook 1B, and the song "looking for friends." We learned new words while reading the texts. We went through all three animal books. I encouraged the students to use Chinese as much as possible during class. I gave them each one sheet to practice writing characters as homework. We watched a famous Aesop fable story called "sheep and the bad wolf," then I asked them questions regarding the story. I asked them several questions after the video to make sure they really comprehended the story."
"Today we learned to recognize the first half of the emotion/ feeling phrases, and set up the other traditional input. I asked the student to please review these phrases, and try to write a small story or conversation using at least two subsets from the conversation on the textbook page 12, with at least three feelings in it. She can use English for sentences she doesn't know yet."
"We reviewed the words and sentences we've done, and covered some new, harder sentences that the student can practice at home. From now on, I am going to quiz her on vocabulary with the matching game that she likes. The session went well and we've been productive!"
"We went over a poem on voice activity with answers in Chinese. We also went over a festival assignment in Chinese."
